Bienvenue Ladurée à Georgetown DC | Pastel Blue Separates + Pink Accessory

Bonjour tout le monde! Je suis très très contente que Ladurée est ici en Georgetown DC! And that’s it for French today. I just said that I’m so so happy that Ladurée is here in Georgetown DC. A few weeks ago, my friend Holly invited me to the Ladurée event to take in the new space as well as sampling on some fresh macarons. I wore this soft pastel blue lacy number that was perfect for the occasion. It made me feel very feminine and romantic and was so much fun to wear for the event. The event was hosted by TAA PR and the team did such a fabulous job!

The first time I tried macarons from Ladurée at the first U.S. location, which was in Upper East Side NYC, I was immediately hooked. So I made frequent stops every few times a year and even stopped in the one in Paris two years ago to get my macarons fix. I even took a macaron patisserie class in Paris just to solidify my obsession over the little round dessert. Also please please do not say MACAROONS! Ha-it’s a pet-peeve of mine, but those are the coconut chewy desserts. MACARONS are the actual French dessert that you see in most Instagram posts that come in multitude of pastel colors and flavors. End rant.

Now I’m so glad that we have our very own Ladurée right in the heart of Georgetown as well as one in Union Station opened today. The space is small, so if you do come for a meal, be prepared to wait a little bit. When I first went in for a table, I was told that it was by reservations only. Now that has changed and it’s by first come first serve basis, so be prepared to come early to get a table.
