Desert Phoenix | Off-Shoulder Trumpet Sleeves Shift Dress

Hello everyone! Long time no chat. I’m slowly coming down from the vaca high where I jetted off to beautiful Phoenix with my two blogger besties, Kim and Diana hosted by the wonderful people at VisitPhoenix. We had an awesome time with them who packed our schedule with plenty of activities that kept us busy and gave us a great taste of what Phoenix had to offer. I will be talking about those coming up soon in a three-part series scattered in-between my outfit posts so stay tuned for those posts!

Now, you must thought I was a wee bit crazy to bring OTK boots to a desert city and I almost thought that too. However, I still brought it because I really wanted to pair them with this shift dress below. I’m so glad that I did because this outfit came in handy to keep me warm when we had to wake up before the crack of dawn for the first activity that day. Needless to say, when the sun was not out to play, Phoenix can get pretty chilly in the morning. Obviously, once the sun warmed up the city, it was time to change out of my boots to something more summery to bare my toes and all. But not before grabbing a quick photo shoot at the beautiful Hotel Valley Ho Resort in downtown Scottsdale. The suite that we stayed in was too good to be true, but more on that in a later post!

Outfit: Forever 21 dress // OTK boots // Violet Ray bag // photos shot by: Kimberly Kong

I really love how flowy this dress is, but it was a bit tricky at times to photograph the dress due to its billowy-ness which in turn can add “weight” to your frame. Besides that, I love the print, the trumpet sleeves with the lace detail and of course, I’m a sucker for anything off-the-shoulder.

I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for my part one travel post coming up in a few days! Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!
