A NOLA Wedding | Cold-Shoulder Floral Maxi Dress

Happy Tuesday everyone! If you follow me on instagram, you’d know I was in New Orleans for a wedding. I’ve known Kelley for a few years now through the blogging world and had done her engagement session recently in DC as well as a fall-inspired bridal style shoot with her and her sister. The wedding was held at the St. Louis Cathedral then we did a second line to the reception at Tomas Bistro. Everything went along smoothly and Kelley and Trey made for such a cute couple. I’m also jealous that they are currently on their honeymoon in Hawaii.

As for my outfit for the wedding, I originally had thought to wear something bright and yellow for the day, but last minute brought this beautiful maxi below. I figure it was perfect for the weather in NOLA–light enough to keep me cool during the day and long enough to keep me warm during the night. I didn’t have time to shorten the length of the dress, but had a trusty belt underneath the ruffles to hold up the length and hoisted myself up on platform heels. Works for me! Oh, the life of a petite blogger.
