NYFW SS16 Day Two | Black on Black

Well technically day three, but since I spent most of Saturday working on photos and blogging and didn’t get into the city until late for dinner, I didn’t count Saturday. For a full Sunday, I wanted to wear something that I could walk around in all day comfortably. I opted for a black on black attire with some fun accessories to make the outfit stand out a bit. As you can see, I have a thing for crochet shorts and have one in black to give this outfit some texture. And thank god for the heavy scuba-like material of this top–it kept me warm as the night got a bit chilly with temps dropped into the 60’s. Pair with my trusty heels that are seriously comfy, but after a long day of walking many blocks and avenues, they took their toll on me later in the evening. Luckily, KL had her bandaid blister block that saved my feet from the continued rubbing and my feet felt refreshed again.

The day started with meeting KL for brunch then it was off to RewardStyle rooftop party. I didn’t time the event well enough and left later than originally planned leaving me only ten minutes to mingle, take some quick photos at the Mode cocktail before hopping back on a taxi again to meet KL for a few shows at the Pier 59 Studio in Chelsea. I was glad to grab some quick shots of those garlands above that the Mode team hung from the trees creating such a beautiful floral landscape.

As for the shows, I took a lot more photos that I will be sharing in the next post so stay tuned for that! It was definitely a fun-filled full day and I am hoping to make it for winter fashion week this time around.
