Summer Nautical | Blue on Blue Mixed Prints

Happy 4th! I hope you’ve been enjoying the holiday weekend with lots of bbq-ing, watermelon eating and water activity fun. Being near the DC metro area, I think we get the best fireworks display around but I always tend to forgo that every year as to not deal with the huge tourist crowd mess around the National mall.

Anyway for today’s post, I wanted to play with nautical theme for the summer and this outfit below came to mind. I was a little surprised to find that this top was made with thick and sturdy material which would make the top last for a few years. For those who are not used to the summer heat, this top may not work for you although it would be great for those who still have cooler temp nights. Anyway, I just love the bright blue color and texture of the top and thought it fit the theme nicely.

Also these sandals are so, so, so comfy to walk in and believe me when I say this. Remember these sandals from few outfit posts back? Well the whole point of buying wedge sandals was to be able to walk all day in them without hurting. They did not last a day walking to and from metro and around DC. In fact, I came back with huge blisters on my feet and went to Nordstrom the next day to exchange for these below and never looked back. They are great comfy sandals if you’re still looking for a pair for the summer.
