#OTBloggerCrawl Alexandria Event

Happy TGIF! About a week ago, I was asked to be part of the #OTBloggerCrawl — the first one in the Alexandria area where ten other bloggers and myself had the pleasure to visit 11 local boutiques (Coco Blanca (home interior dream), Hysteria, Current Boutique, Bloomers (cutest undergarment store ever!), Mint Condition, Bishop Boutique (best donut bar to date as well as plenty of handbags and shoes to choose from), Red Barn Mercantile (cutest home knick knacks and unique cards), She’s Unique (obsessed with their dainty jewelries here), 529 Kids Consign, and the Shoe Hive) and shop till our hearts’ content. This event was a way of introducing bloggers and remind ourselves to shop and support local boutiques. You never know what hidden gems are located right in your neighborhood.

As part of the #OTBloggerCrawl, I was asked to be ambassador for a local beauty boutique called BellaCara. The boutique has been around for over 13 years right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria carry wide range of products ranging from high end cosmetic, skin care and hair care products to smaller brand names– some of which I haven’t heard of. The products are carefully curated by store owner, Angela Sitilides, who personally tests all the products sold in store before bringing only the best to be carried in the store. You can find products such as Kiehl’s, Fresh, Skinceuticals, Smashbox, Mario Badescu, Kevyn Aucoin, Butter London just to name a few. Every so often, BellaCara will hosts brand events bringing in pro makeup artists to do demonstrations and tips and tricks on how to apply the products. If you’re nearby, be sure to stop in and browse around! You won’t be disappointed at all with the selections.

The event lasted through the wee hours of the night and I’m sure I’m not the only one to say that we felt absolutely spoiled by each of the boutique gifting us with parting souvenirs. The event ended with a beautiful and romantic cocktail event styled by Katie at PetiteSocial at our last stop, The Shoe Hive. Everything was more than I could have imagined and I was so glad to be part of this event. I’ve met and hung out with some of the amazing ladies/bloggers in the DMV area and could not have asked for a better night. See more photos after the jump.

If you want to see more photos, feel free to head to my instagram where I’ve posted many of the details at most of the boutiques. Many thanks to the team at SpicyCandyDC for hosting this event and Julien for the photos above.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
