Weekend Cravings | Summer Beach Bags + What’s In My Beach Bag

Hey everyone! So I’m not much of a beach goer but I do love the ocean breeze and warm sand under my feet. And with summer blazing ahead, I couldn’t help looking at some beach bags on the off-chance that I might find myself on the beach again. So I thought I put together some of my favorites below as well as some beachy essential items I must bring when heading to the shores.

As you can see, I am leaning towards more stripe and cognac colors for the bags. I find them to be classic that I can carry all year round and still keep for many years to come.

As for what to carry to the beach besides the usual beach towels? Well, I got a few items below that will definitely be in the bag ready to hit the sand and relax by the breezy water.

  1. Wide-brimmed hat–it goes without saying that a nice wide-brimmed hat is essential to bring with you which will protect your face from the harsh sun to avoid premature aging
  2. Rayban’s Foldable Aviators–the perfect sunnies to go along with the hat that is foldable and compact wherever you go
  3. Skullcandy earbuds–been using these for awhile and they always seem to keep the noise out and allow you to listen to your favorite music or podcast
  4. Tory Burch thongs–my go-to summer flip flops that I always have on hand
  5. Neutrogena Age Shield Anti-Oxidant face lotion in SPF 110 — please please protect your face from the harsh UV rays. I’ve always gone back to Neutrogena sunblock options because it always feels light on my skin
  6. Aveeno Baby Sunblock for the body–if it’s good for the baby, it’s good for us. Basically anything over 30+ SPF is good to go.
  7. Neutrogena Revilatizing lip balm–keep those lips nice and soft as well as protect them from the sun with SPF 20. A tinted lip balm is an added bonus.
  8. A good book– I know everyone’s reading #girlboss book, but for some reason, I’m just not feeling the book. I read some reviews on it and just didn’t appeal to me. Maybe because it seems too gimmicky to me. Instead I’d opt for this book called “Cinder” that KL recommended few months ago. It’s based loosely on the story “Cinderella” but in futuristic times. I haven’t had time to check it out, but has been on my list to read. It was either Cinder or reading “Les Miserables” in french, since I wanted to brush up on my french. It’s safe to say that the first option won’t put me to sleep too much. =P
