NOLA Day 2| From Day to Night Romper

Hello everyone! So for day two of my NOLA trip, I brought along this romper to do a day to night outfit pairing to show the versatility of one item. In just a few quick changes, you can really turn a casual outfit and glam it up for a fun night out.

The asymmetrical hem of the romper reminds me of this skort from Zara. I love the neckline, but find the clasp a little finicky at times. I’ll need to find some way to keep it put, but overall, I love how breezy and comfortable this romper is especially with the heat and humidity down there.

Also, can I just say how much I love my map necklace from Three Jane? Ever since I got it a few weeks ago, I have not taken it off. I love how I can keep my favorite city close to heart and serves as a little reminder to the happy memory I hold dear. You can purchase a city of choice from the list or you can create one of your own on a gold plated piece and have the specific spot marked by a diamond.

As you can see from photos below, day two was just jam-packed with foodie adventure and since it was a short weekend trip, we wanted to be sure we hit up all the places on my bookmarked list. First thing in the morning, we trekked over to the Garden district area to try out some amazing blue crab beignets among other things at La Petite Grocery. It was so good and I missed it over the weekend so did experiment with a recipe to post on food blog soon. Then it was amazing deep fried corn on the cob at Mother’s Nature Cupboard in the French Market, crabmeat cheesecake (sounds weird, but so delish) and banana foster dessert at Palace Cafe then finished the night with 2.5 dozen oysters from Drago’s Seafood Restaurant. Needless to say, our second stomach was officially tapped out at that point.

For day three, we continued walking around downtown again and also wanted to try last beignet place at Cafe Beignet. I must say that I absolutely love the beignets here especially that the cafe gives such a generous portion of it and the line wasn’t as long compared to Café du Monde. However, I still prefer the frozen café au lait at Café du Monde. I wish they have decaf though since I think I was having a tiny withdrawal from not having it this past week.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you haven’t been to New Orleans, be sure to go at least once. I wouldn’t mind heading back again to check out a few more restaurants as well as hitting some favorites. If you have been and have any suggestions, feel free to leave in the comment section below!

Thanks for reading as always and have a great one!
