Happy April Fool’s Day! Apologies in advance for the grainy photos below. Unfortunately, after I finished cooking that day for hubs when he last visited three weeks ago, the sun was setting way too quickly and my last outfit below barely made it before we ran out of light. Lesson learned. Do not cook and plan outfits on the same day. =P
If you haven’t noticed, my style tends to lean towards the more girly side often times toughened up a bit by adding accessories such as leopard, leather, or bold prints for the edginess. So it comes as no surprise that I lean towards ruffles of any kind 90% of the term–as evident with the top and skirt below.
Also, lately, I’ve been pretty simple when it comes to my accessories. I tend to have a few favorite go-to items that I wear most of the time and never get bored. Sometimes having too many options can make decisions on what to wear a little harder. Since my move, I’ve gone through and edited my closet more than a handful of times already and brought home bags of items for my sisters–whatever they didn’t like, I would donate.
Anyways, I digress. For the outfit below, I was playing with shades of pink (including my lipstick) splashed against cream background like a canvas. Who doesn’t love a little color for spring? Of course, I had to add some leopard to make this outfit a little less girly. =P
That’s it! It’s another gorgeous day today and later this evening, I’ve been invited to a champagne tasting menu kicking off DC’s Cherry Blossom festivities at Table hosted by Veuve Clicquot, which I can’t wait. Feel free to check out my instagram for up-to-date foodie posts which you know there will be plenty tonight. =D
Thanks for reading and have a great one!
