SoHo Winter | Camel Coat & Orange Scarf

Happy Monday all! I had a pretty low key weekend; ran some errands and caught up on some photo work. I’m glad it’s another short week this week with the start of 2014 right around the corner.

Anyways, while we were in NYC for the day, stopped by SoHo to look at Warby Parker glasses for hubs and finally settled on one. I didn’t really get anything while in SoHo, so it was pretty much hubs’ shopping day.

As for my outfit, I’ve been looking for a camel-colored coat since last year. I bought one from Ann Taylor last month, but didn’t really like how lightweight the material was on the coat. If I was going to wear it for winter, it just didn’t seem to be a coat that would keep me warm throughout the season.

I was debating on keeping it until I saw this J. Crew coat on sale last month before Thanksgiving and in camel no less. Needless to say, I kept one of the coat and returned the other. I got the coat in petite 00 and absolutely love the fit.

I am obsessed with coats in general, but finding one that fits my frame always proves to be challenging. Last week, I checked out Zara’s winter sale going on currently and tried a few XS coats there, but the sleeves were just way too long for me and sides were roomy. At least I came out with this long fluffy scarf that I could also use to drape over my head for the extra warmth if necessary. Believe it or not, this scarf was wrapped three times around me.

Outfit: J. Crew coat (love this Burberry one) // Zara scarf // Rag & Bones booties thanks to T.J. Maxx (similar) // 7FAM jeans (similar) // H&M snowflake sweater (recent) // Kate Spade bag // H&M leather gloves (old)

Hope you all have a great Monday!
