Hey everyone and Happy Monday!
Saturday, I went to Taste of Bethesda that happens every year, but first time doing one in Bethesda. This year, 52 restaurants participated in the event and had quite a pretty good gathering. It’s a great way to get try out various restaurants during one tasting day without having to break the bank too much. I definitely had my fill of lobster roll, crab cake sandwich, mussels and macarons for the day.
I did a Taste of Georgetown about six years ago and loved it. If you don’t have a “Taste of” festivity in your area, it’s a one day event where restaurants in the city participates and set up tent along several blocks of streets. They each bring their cooking set up and make the food fresh on the spot. One of the great thing about living in the DMV area is that there are always several “Tastes of” that you can attend. Taste of DC is actually next weekend, which I am excited to head down and eat to my heart’s content.
On my way back from tasting, I bumped into a row of trees that were ready for Fall with its bright red, orange and yellow colors. Yet, it sure didn’t feel like Fall over the weekend with temps close to 90 degrees, but I am not complaining in the least bit. I love Aug-tober. =)
Then Sunday, met up with Casie for more outfit shoots and took a break from the hot sun to enjoy some brunch at Black’s Bar and Kitchen. I was sold on the AYCE brunch with unlimited raw bar, some breakfast items and dessert bar. If I had to change the setup a bit, I would definitely prefer to have more hot breakfast items included in the buffet brunch. Other than that, the unlimited oysters and shrimp cocktails had me at hello–so stuffed afterwards. Totally got my fill of B-12’s and zinc for the day. =)
