Hello hello! As you know, I just got back from Cancun on Monday, so have quite a few photos I like to share. Therefore, these posts will be split up into several posts in the next few weeks or so.
We flew into Cancun international airport Thursday morning business class, which was really nice and took only three hours nonstop. Hubs was specific in making sure our flights nonstop, since he has no patience for connections anymore after flying so often to Chicago.
Once we got to Cancun, we checked into our hotel at the J.W. Marriott Resort & Spa where we booked just hotel stay. Since hubs and I do not drink, it made more sense to book the resort non-inclusive to save some money there. The hotel was absolutely beautiful as you can see below decorated throughout with these lovely ballerina statues. Also, there was a very picturesque pool area where you can swim up to the edge of the pool and get a great view of beach and ocean–the food was not bad at all either.
As for my outfit, I wanted to bring items that were breezy to keep me cool under the hot Cancun sun. I also didn’t bring a lot of accessories with me–just few of my favorite items that I wore daily. Less was definitely more, especially when the days got quite humid that I would not be able to stand stacking on more accessories than were necessary.
I got the blouse during H&M Memorial Day with 20% coupon and you may have seen this skirt last Fall as well. Also, these Gigi sandals have got to be my most worn item for the summer–perfect for touring around Cancun. I only brought two pairs of heels with me–been keeping my shoe selections quite simple when I travel.
Before we got there, we definitely had reservations in drinking the water or eating the food, since we’ve heard plenty of horror stories of folks coming back sick. However, we lucked out and had some great food and now great memories from the trip in celebration of our five-year anniversary.
And now today is day three that Hubs is in Chicago–only 4+ months until he returns–le sigh. Anyways, just a reminder that Google Reader is shutting down Monday, July 1st! If you haven’t follow this blog on bloglovin, please do so you don’t miss a post.
Hope you all have a great one!
