Bonjour: Striped Sweater & Midi Circle Skirt

Bonjour all! You know I am a sucker for anything French like this outfit here and let’s not forget my ridiculous obsession over macarons. Anyways, so when I ran into this striped sweater on ASOS few weeks ago, I knew it had to be mine. Well, Blair from Atlantic-Pacific also thought the same — see her styling version here from last week.

My trench is a recent steal from Gilt City DC warehouse sale a few weekends ago. It was such a unique piece and I absolutely love the details on this trench — ruffles anyone? And who doesn’t love a twirly circle skirt? =) I know this length is not the most favorable lengths among petites, but I like to break the rules when it comes to what we can wear. Coming in at 5’1″, in order to make this length work for me, I must always pair it with a nice pair of pumps to help elongate my frame. If I truly want a great fit, I could hem the skirt up about an inch or two. As to the quality of the skirt, I was quite surprise to find it nicely made with thick materials and even has pockets no-less (a definite bonus).

Also, this Estate bib necklace has got to be my second fave from Stella & Dot — my first fave being the Pegasus shown here, and here.

Also, did you know that April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day? I seriously did not plan for this post to go up the same day, but I am so glad to be able to include an awesome cause into this post. I just love to help out a company that gives back as well.

During the month of April, Stella & Dot will donate 20% off all retail sales from the Autism Awareness collection to the HollyRod Foundation. So if you like to support a great cause, click on the banner below, shop the collection and help support Autism Awareness today.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this post and have a great Tuesday!
