Instamix: Gilt City DC Warehouse Sale, Hermes, and a Foodie Sunday

Hey everyone! Wow, what a busy weekend, but first, waking up to a snowy Monday was not what I expected for today. How is that possible when Spring is supposed to be officially here — oy.

However, since it’s National Pancake Day, two coworkers decided to have a makeshift pancake station set up at work — now that was worth coming in on a snowy day. You can check out my photos on instagram regarding that. Ok, let’s jump right into updates. =)

  • Thanks to Allison (thx girl!), I was able to get an invite to the Gilt City Warehouse sale in DC on Friday. It was my first time there and did not know what to expect. I was definitely overwhelmed with so many people there, but at least I was able to snag an item to make the trip worthwhile. The event had a DJ, photographer and also food vendors — was introduced to a new snack called Pretzel Crisps. They had so many flavors there and I’ve tried them all — gotta say I hope my grocery stores carry them. After the warehouse sale, got to hang out with few DC blogger friends and had a great time — definitely need to do that more.
  • Next morning, headed out to an early photo shoot, which I cannot wait to share. Stopped by Hermes to pick up a little treat on my way home — been eyeing and contemplating over several months and finally pulled the trigger. =)
  • Sunday was a busy one — first time having brunch at Founding Farmers and I am definitely hooked. Must go again!
  • Then got ready to head over to Casie’s place for some more shooting, but not without stopping by to pick up some macarons before they closed for the day. Mm mm
  • And of course, ended the night with some awesome hot pot at our favorite location with Linda, her friend and hubs. I had two butterbeer and way too much food, but so satisfying – yum.

What.a.weekend. I hope you all had a great one as well and hopefully Monday goes quickly for you. Here’s hoping for me too. To those on the East Coast, stay warm!
