Danielle-Nicole’s 2013 Spring/Summer Collection at Macy’s

I have to admit that the name Danielle-Nicole was not on my radar when I first received the invite to preview her Spring/Summer line launching at Macy’s. However, after learning a little about the designer and seeing the collection, I am now a fan and definitely have a few favorites among them, especially the Peyton shoulder bag in coral held by model below. Not to mention that the colors are perfect for spring and summer.

It was awesome getting to know the designer behind the handbags during the event. Danielle’s passion for handbag design started at an early age of 18 grabbing materials at Joanne’s Fabric and creating handbags from scratch. While interning at Bergdorf Goodman one year, Danielle wore a different handbag everyday until someone at the cosmetic counter took notice and, as you can guess, the rest was history. As a native Marylander, it was a no-brainer to bring her first affordable line of handbags (nothing over $100!) to Macy’s Westfield Wheaton mall.

Aren’t her bags gorgeous?! Danielle was generous enough to gift us with her Davnia mini crossbody bag – absolute love!

More of my favorites below: Alexa tote and Chelsea Top Handle. The Alexa unfortunately is sold out as soon as it was launched – may need to keep my eye on that hoping for it to restock!

I was looking forward to the event but unfortunately, couldn’t stay long since I went on my lunch break from work and it was at least a 20 min drive each way. Plus, a meeting that was originally scheduled for that morning got moved to the afternoon right after my lunch break, so had to rush to get ready for that. Needless to say, I will be heading back to the mall again and check out the bags further.

Thank you so much Danielle for showing us your Spring/Summer line and it was so great meeting you! If you girls have not checked out her bags, now selling in stores at Macy’s, please do so. Hope you all have a great day and thank you for reading!
