Instamix: Fitness, TPWP Studio Launch, & Breaking Dawn Part Deux

Hey everyone!! What a weekend and I can’t imagine this week is Thanksgiving already – sheesh! Where did the month go, right? Before I get started with the updates, I promise you that I will have a tutorial in the making this week before I leave for Buffalo/Toronto for Thanksgiving break.

It’s been so long since my last one, and now that wedding season has come to a close for this year, I can finally focus my attention in doing more videos and I promise, I have a list! I found a spark of inspiration just yesterday and I cannot wait to start filming this week and hopefully have it uploaded by end of week, so stay tuned! In meantime, here’s what’s been happening over the weekend.

I know I’ve said this before, but for the past few months, I have really been on a fitness kick being in the gym at least 5-6x per week for about 30 mins.

My fave machine there is this cross-training elliptical that does steps, strides and arms as well and the results have really motivated me to keep going with the regime. Every week or so, I will up my resistance level so my body doesn’t get to used to the workout.

For this week though, I can proudly say that I’ve gone to the gym every day – crazy, but it has really helped me de-stress and I feel like I have so much energy afterwards.

Right after family session Saturday, I stopped by Einstein Bros and saw this Nova Lox Bagel, so decided to give it a try. I had to ask first though what is a lox and apparently it’s just thinly sliced smoked salmon – works for me! =)

The dynamic duo, Carla & Marshall from TPWP invited few bloggers in the area to celebrate the launch of their new studio called the Ulysses Room partnered with DeNada and Kelly Towles. The event recently got featured in Washington Post, so check it out if you haven’t already done so.

Elle, newest fashion blogger for DMV area, and I stopped by to join in on the festivities and marvel at the space. Since there wasn’t water available to drink, I opted to try out the peach white tea by Honest Tea and now have found my newest fave drink. Also walked away with one of DeNada‘s beautiful, absolutely softest scarf ever, which I can’t wait to pair in an outfit soon.

Sad to say that I will be saying goodbye to hubby for a few months while he gets lost in the gamer world.

Victoria’s Pub in Columbia is the only place I know that has duck fat fries – yep, you read that right. Absolute fave dish to order whenever I go there. This time I wanted to try out their escargots appetizers and lobster grilled cheese sandwich. Good thing I worked out earlier for sure!

Then of course, Linda and I ended our date night with Twilight’s Breaking Dawn part two, but not without getting armed with some yummies for snacking. =) It definitely felt good to finally finish the whole series, though, and I cannnot wait for Les Mis and Oz next! I was lucky enough to see the musical on Broadway twice and loved every minute of it. Just seeing the trailer for Les Mis seriously gave me shivers – can.not.wait.

Did you girls catch the movie and what did you think of it? Anyways, hope you all have a great Monday and thanks for reading!
