Instamix: Potluck, Wedding & Allergies

I couldn’t ask for a better weather than this past weekend, although I’m sure everyone agrees with me that the weekends always go by so quickly.

  • My friend Linda invited me over to her place for a little mini potluck. I made avocado rolls at her place and also tried out mango chutney recipe – tutorial here the night before – two great combos that tasted great together!
  • Linda tried out a recipe from Cook’s Illustrated – Shrimp Burger with Chipotle Adobo Sauce and it was so yummy!
  • And since we had leftover avocados, we decided that the table needed fresh guacamole. We were so stuffed by the end of the meal. We definitely need to do this more often.
  • Had a wedding the next day near the National Cathedral – will update once photos have been edited and they had Georgetown cupcakes as well as an Empanada truck at the end of the wedding. Father of the bride, I believe, made the Monument to go with the cupcakes.
  • Then Sunday, I had an e-session with the cutest of couple, which I can’t wait to show you guys (will update this link once photos are ready). I ended Sunday with some soondubu jjigae hoping it would clear my congestion, but unfortunately that didn’t work. The past two days, I was fine while I was outside, but as soon as I got into my car and home, both my nostrils are clogged and I couldn’t breathe. Worst.Feeling.Ever.

Today, I made an appt with an acupuncturist referred to me by my client hoping for a miracle. After one session, she felt so much better for the whole year. Mine is not as worse as hers, so I am hoping that mine will just disappear. Fingers crossed!

Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and thanks for reading!
