Never one to steer away from colors, it was only natural to gravitate towards this J. Crew honeycomb sweater in fuschia. It was the only color out of the bunch that stood out to me, however, the first store didn’t have my size – bummed! Had to call J. Crew’s search consultant to find one 20 miles away and thanks to tweet alerts from Kelly at Alterations Needed, I got the sweater for $24 one weekend – awesome.
I got this coat four years ago after our honeymoon cruise to the Caribbeans and we stopped by Miami for a day. Benetton was having a major sale on winter coats. In Miami. Oh the irony! Lol, so I took advantage of it and got this coat for a steal. I couldn’t remember the price I bought the coat for but if hubby was willing to pay for it, it was cheap! =P I was looking for a long winter coat and this fit the bill quite nicely.
If you haven’t caught on yet, I am a huge winter coat collector, among many other collections – lol. Every winter, I seem to be on a lookout for another coat; one in different color and style. =P I do agree though to invest in a nice coat that will last you for awhile. One of these posts, I will have to showcase them all before winter is over.
United Colors of Benetton tweed coat (old); J. Crew honeycomb sweater; Crewcut gingham shirt in navy; Forever21 tweed shorts (old/similar) and tights; Steve Madden boots (old); Morgan Ashleigh Charm Necklace (bought on hautelook); Chanel medium flap in caviar
It’s Chinese (Lunar) New Year this weekend, well technically on the 23rd, which means I’ll be heading to Philly to celebrate with family. Also have a wedding to shoot on Saturday – oh joy! Weddings are fun; just not looking forward to the wintry mix. Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Friday!
