As you can see, I’ve crossed off moto jacket from my Fall wishlist I posted few weeks back. I’ve also purchased a pair of booties that I haven’t received yet, so that can be crossed off too. The only thing left on the list I haven’t been able to decided on the one I want so that will need to wait.
Anyways, when I was in NYC with Jen who came to visit, one of our shopping stops was at Zara. I went in not really expecting to find anything since I have a Zara back home in MD. We headed up to the kids section first and browsed around specifically looking for some fur vests to try on. Everything was pretty much sold out or not in our sizes. Then I turned around and there, right across the store, I saw it – the moto jacket I was looking for. It was exactly what I wanted in one and they had my size. It’s almost like it was calling out to me, so I immediately made a bee line for it and tried it on as you can see from the photo I tweeted below few weeks back.
It was perfect timing that day too, since the temps dropped as soon as the sun went down and I left my blazer in the car. The jacket was at a great price point for being leather, so needless to say, it went home with me.
Below I paired it over a paisley top gifted by QI/Ainsley during Bubz/Wendy’s trip to NYC. This moto jacket lends a great edginess to the feminine top and definitely perfect for those in-between temps of Fall. Now, I’m on a lookout for a second one in a different color perhaps a burnt brown or burgundy red.
Outwear: Moto Jacket from Zara (buy)
Top: Paisley top from Qi/Ainsley
Bottom: Forever 21 shorts
Shoes: Ada pumps from H by Halston sz. 5 (buy)
Accessores: Casati necklace from Jewelmint
Bag: Chanel caviar in medium
I love how the top has a flowy feel to the material and the back drapes open a bit. As for the shoes, if you ever drooled over Wendy sporting the YSL ‘Palais’ Platform Pumps, then the H by Halston has a similar feel to it at a lower price point. And surprisingly pretty comfy to walk in, although I wouldn’t jog a mile in them though. =P
Alright, I hoped you enjoy this! This week is a pretty busy one and I have prepped a few posts early to prepare for it, so stay tuned for those.
Until next time,
