Nordstrom & MAC’s Glitter and Ice Collection

What can I say about Nordstrom that I’m sure have been said plenty of times before, but I just wanted to take a moment and provide my own experience since I’ve recently have a new-found respect and love for the store. As you know, Nordstrom only recently have free shipping for any product and dollar amount for its online store, adding another layer of awesomeness that only gets better. Since then, I have found myself giving more attention to Nordstrom’s online store than most. Only until recently though did I find out that Nordstrom also has an awesome return policy where the normal 30 day return policy does not apply with the store.

After my experience a day ago, I have to say that Nordstrom has won me over as a loyal customer. Here’s why. I have these two patent flats that I bought few years back and, although I love the style, they were extremely uncomfortable to wear, mainly because patent does not stretch and just rubs against the skin. Needless to say, they sat in my closet collecting dust with the silly notion that I could make them work or break them in. Well I didn’t. When I found out about Nordstrom’s return policy recently, I decided to give it a try and see what happened. I honestly wasn’t thinking I would get money back and would’ve been more than happy to exchange them for something else. Well, to my pleasant surprise, I’m happy to say that the customer service lady took both flats back and said that she could credit the amount to any card, so I just had her credit my Nordstrom card. That’s it? So simple! I thought I had to put up a fight or something. I did have to show her my receipt which thank goodness, I keep everything in a folder in my email. I’ve also heard stories of other stores returning items without a receipt, but my store in particular did require one or at least have the original box that has the Nordstrom sticker on them. Thank you Nordstrom for your awesome service! More and more stores should really take after you.

Anyways, while I was there, I decided to head over to the MAC counter and see what they have. I obviously did not keep up with the collections at all and didn’t realize that MAC’s winter collection “Glitter and Ice” launched yesterday. Below are some of the pics I took of the collection. I didn’t have time to check out the collection more, but I’ll pop in this weekend to take a closer look.

Any of you ladies going to pick up something from this collection?
