Lookbook: WICKED in DC

When I had purchased WICKED tickets for Kennedy Center in DC, I had no idea who was going to be the lead for Elphaba. I did a quick search to see who it would be and the name wasn’t familiar, but I was hoping that whoever played her would do the role justice. I really wanted to take hubby to watch it with me, because I loved it so much. He’s heard the CD so many times in my car for the past year and half – ever since I’ve seen it the very first time last February and watched it again in March on Broadway. The only reason I did that was because the lead singer, Dee Roscioli absolutely blew me away with her powerful voice, so when I found out that her last month was going to be in March last year, I had to watch it again. Let me tell you how shocked and ecstatic I was to have sat down at the Kennedy Center in DC and opened up my playbill to see Dee’s name. It was fate, I tell ya! Needless to say, hubby loved the show, but really, how could he not? ;P

Anywho, for my OOTD, especially for the theaters, I absolutely love to find any occasion to dress up.

Top: Express tank & F21 bolero
Skirt: F21
Shoes: Bandolino’s black wedges
Jewelry: Bracelet (David Yurman), Watch (old), pearl necklace (overstock), Tiffany heart key necklace
Bag: Chanel Classic Flap in Caviar

Also might I add that while filming, there was an obnoxious fly that kept following me from location to location and biting me! I have the worse luck with mosquitoes and now a fly? I never realize how much a fly bite would hurt – ugh! Ah well, I need to remember to bring some bug repellent with me next time.

So ladies, which musical has become your all-time favorite and how many times have you seen it? =)

  1. […] everyone! You may have seen this tulle skirt when I wore it to the Kennedy’s to see Wicked for the third time. When I think of tulle, I think of ballerinas and bridal gowns — both delicate and beautiful. […]
