Missha BB Cream Review

Update 7.13.09 – I’ve actually discontinued using this product about 2 months ago since I had minor breakouts along my chin and for some reason, getting red spots on my cheeks. I’m not sure if it’s just my skin being sensitive to the ingredients but I rather not risk continuing to use it. I hope it works well for the rest of you! =)

I’ve actually completely forgotten about this product that I purchased weeks before and just arrived early this week from Korea. So I’ve decided to try it out and do a mini comparison between Missha and L’egere’s BB cream. I see one difference right off the bat, is that the product has SPF 42 PA++ plainly written on the tube and the box. Apparently L’egere has also SPF ingredients in it but since it’s not written anywhere, I can’t confirm that it has any sunscreen protection.

Anyways here’s the review:

Price: $13.09 (the price got L’egere beat for sure =P) and oh did i mention free shipping! =P
Where to purchase: RubyRubyShop on Ebay
Size: 30 ml

Ingredients: Water(Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone/Vinyl, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Cetyyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Ethythexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capri Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Arbutin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Squalane, Caviar Extract, Adenosine, Algae Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Fagus Sylvatica Bud Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide 3, Cahmomilla Recutta (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Fragrance (Parfum), Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Hdyroxyisophexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Butylphenyl Methylpropiional, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycintronella, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Citronello; may contain (+/-; Titanium Dioxide (CL77891); Iorn Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)

Consistency: It has a milkier, creamier consistency while L’egeres is definitely much thicker. I find applying this is easier bc it feels like a moisturizer and glides onto face easily with fingers.

Scent: It has more of a perfumy-scent compared to L’egere’s but the scent does fade after application

What it claims: The M Perfect Cover BB cream makes your skin tone clean and natural by concealing blemishes with excellent skin coverage. It is a multi-functional makeup cream with blocking UV rays, whitening and wrinkle care effects. It’s moisturized application with W/S texture makes sleek skin tone while supplying moisture and nutrition at the same time.

What it actually does: This does even out my skintone superbly. I got the No. 23 natural beige and it glides on a little lighter in color but easily blendable. It gives my face good coverage and seems to last throughout the day. I thought it contained my oils around my t-zone yesterday but I’m also using a primer today so may have something to do with it.

Put it to the Test!

My hand without flash & blended. Better pic below =)

With BB cream on natural light

Without BB cream in natural light; oops but in the shade-
didn’t turn my full face to the light =P

without BB cream and with flash

With BB cream and flash on

Likelihood of Repurchase: I think I would purchase again. It’s a thin tube that I can take it with me everywhere. I love how smoothly it applies onto my face and doesn’t feel drying to the skin at all. Not to mention for that price, can’t beat it. =)

  1. Oooh, thanks for posting the ingredients. It’s so hard for me to find ingredients of Asian products. But… I guess I won’t be trying this as I’m allergic to Ethythexyl Methoxycinnamate. ;_; It looks quite nice on you.

  2. Hi Mel!
Oh I was about to buy this on ebay a couple wks ago~ I’m glad that you really like it! maybe I’ll try to buy it again πŸ™‚
Thanks for the review~ It looks great on you btw πŸ™‚

  3. Thanks for the review, Mel!

Ahhh, you and Fuz! Best spokespeople. YOu guys always secretly persuade me to buy the products you two use. Hmmm, do you like this more than Legere multi white bb cream?

  4. ooh .. wow.. good to know about the ingredients for sure! I think I prefer this one over the l’egere just in terms of applying onto my face and feels a bit more moisturizing. I’ll need to give it a few weeks to determine for sure my fave =)

  5. Great review! I’ve heard good things about this and L’egere! I’m not sure if bb creams are for me though…or maybe my skin isn’t use to it >_<

  6. great great bb cream review!! I saw this before and I was wondering about it!! thank you for doing this! πŸ˜€

  7. hehe.. anytime! let me know how it works out for you girls! =)

  8. Thank you for the wonderful review! I’m dying to try this BB cream, as well as L’egere! I don’t know if it matches my skin tone, though.

  9. Woot, I can’t wait to try it..

  10. oooh i have a missha store by me and i like their face washes lol :p i saw their bb cream but in store was more than 13.50…i just remember thinking oooh if imma pay that…then imma just pay a lil more for l’egere…so it must have been 17-20 in store or something. but thanks!! i will check it out!

  11. hey it’s so inexpensive that it wouldn’t hurt to try it.. k! i can send you samples of each for you to try! =D hehe.. let me know what you think Fuz! oooh, so maybe online would be better price then…

  12. you can order it from their website too and they give samples and gifts when buying ceratin amount =) i’ve always wanted to try it

  13. NICE REVIEW!!!! Me <3 Missha bb cream as well (just in case you couldn't tell from my review lol)!
This reminds me that I need to stock up!!! πŸ™‚

  14. I like it too. I’ve been using it for a while as a heavy-duty foundation. It’s a bit thick but normal for a BB cream. Now that you said this is lighter than Legere, i might have to pass Legere… is Legere much thicker than Missha? Thanks for a comprehensive review πŸ™‚

  15. haha.. glad you like it girl! yep, L’egere is def thicker than Missha for sure.. I like Missha’s milky consistency for easier application.

  16. Thanks for the review Mel! They’re soo many to choose from out there that every review from a trusted source helps! πŸ™‚

  17. thx Wuz! =)

  18. Thanks for the review Mel, can’t wait to try this now. ahhh too many bb cream choices, lol πŸ™‚

  19. Ah IΒ΄ve seen Bubbi’s review on it and really wanted to try it!β™₯

Would you recommend it for people with dry skin?

    β™₯

  20. hehe.. yeah there are a ton of choices of BB creams.. weird.. anywho.. this is def a little bit more moisturizing than L’egeres so I don’t see much of a problem for ppl with dry skin. i dont have any so it’s hard to tell.

  21. I also got that BB cream but I have no tried it yet. OMG, the price is so good! I should have purchased it on e-bay … I bought it for like 24$ in the actual Missha store. Ugh! πŸ™ But now I can’t wait to try it!

  22. Great review!

Even though I’m darker than you, I use this BB cream. I mix it with a few drops of my MAC Studio Sculpt. I always love the end result! Missha M Perfect Cover gets an A in my book. I should do a review too!

  23. yeah def a good product right here! and i love mixing anything to make it work.. haha. =P

  24. nice review – definitely can’t beat that price compared to L’egere πŸ™‚ coverage looks pretty good too!

  25. The price is really something to consider, it’s not so pricey compare to the ‘original’Blemish Balm from Germany (costs about €35 for 50 ml). But I think the shade is too light for me (I’m NC 42). The BB from Germany has 4 shades but unfortunately, I don’t like the texture that much. But…. thank you for introducing me with RubyRubyShop, oh geez….. at the end I’ve bought lot of cute earings, necklace. I just can’t stop myself from buying… ahhhhh so cute…… It’s all your fault, dear Mel *jk, fufufufu*

  26. aww chloe.. sorry about the jewelries.. hehe.. but they’re cheap tho =P yeah this bb cream is def pretty good when it comes to pricing.. cant’ beat that. =) as for the shade, there is only two but you can always use ur shade finishing powder over it and should blend in nice on ur skin.

  27. i have this Missha 1 year ago…although i love the texture for easy blending (this is the only liquid with hint of color that can spread evenly on my skin), the color is matching with mine. I didn’t find it concealing or does anything good for my skin in whitening, anti aging or healing blemishes. Unfortunately, Missha Perfect Cover in SPF42 broke me out if i’m using it consecutively for 3 days and above. If 1 or 2 days, no problem but once it hits 3 then red spots began to came out…I hate it ! somehow color 21 still a bit dark on me…and yes, i love the glow too…

  28. Hi Mel! I bought the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream after reading this post & I just did a quick comparison with the L’egere BB Cream if you’re interested!

  29. hi! what shade are you using? #21 or #23?

  30. #23 =D

  31. I heard that the bb cream oxidizes and gets darker as the day progress, does this happen to you? Let me know yen90211@gmail.com. Thanks :]
